The Spirit of Anniston welcomes you to downtown Anniston.  All public parking is free for a maximum of two hours, unless otherwise posted.

The goal of the parking program is to provide close, convenient parking spaces for anyone coming downtown to do business.  We also strive to provide employees with secure, clean, well-lit parking lots close to their place of employment.

Parking is monitored by the Spirit of Anniston Program under a contractual agreement with the City of Anniston.  The area of coverage is from Wilmer Avenue to Gurnee Avenue, from 8th Street to 14th Street.  Hours of monitoring are from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday.  This includes both on-street parking and city parking lots.

Long term parking permits are available for most city lots.  The permit allows you to park in a designated lot for more than 2 hours.  The cost is $6.00 per month if purchased through the end of the calendar year.  If purchased monthly, the cost is $8.00 per month.

VALIDATION PROGRAM

Downtown businesses may obtain validation coupons for downtown customers and clients.  Downtown property owners, business owners, employers, employees and managers are NOT eligible to use validation coupons for their own parking citations.  The validation coupons are available at the Spirit of Anniston office.
